My Story

About me

Filmmaker based in Sheffield

Hi, my name is Dmitri and I've been into filmmaking for years. I began working on local community events and doing small commissioned and then began to take film courses which eventually led me to work on larger film sets.

29-02-2024

BFI

As part of BFI Young Filmmakers course we created the film 'Simulacrum' in which I was DoP, editor, gaffer and camera operator.

26-03-2024

OUS

I was contracted to produce several videos for Open Up Studios Sheffield for each artist and was briefed to produce them in short form content with a duration of 1-2min. I filmed solo and did all the editing, lighting and producing.

20-06-2024

Crossed wires

I applied for the Sheffield Futures Film course and we were given 3 weeks to produce a short film between 7-10 minutes. On set I worked as a gaffer and a camera operator and I also worked in post-production as the lead editor.

Futures in film

As part of the futures in film group I had the opportunity to work on a large film set as a runner / gaffer.
